Portal workstation with IRB 2400L

The portal robotic welding workstation consists of the robot ABB IRB 2400L mounted on the Andon portal with a 6-meter driving effective track. The two positioners with 750 kg and 500 kg weight capacity are used for clamping and handling of the welded workpieces. 

The workplace is divided into two individual welding units. Each unit contains one positioner for a welded workpiece with the 360-degree-rotation capability in the horizontal axis. The units are connected with the portal driving device on which the robot hangs. Each workstation is equipped with a safety device and a general control panel for workplace operation. 

The device can operate only one welding unit as well. The second unit can be used to set up the production of a new product or to exchange the agent. The level of workplace safety meets the high standards thanks to high reliability of the control system. The welding inverter is designed to weld in automatic operation. 

The workstation also includes the wire feeder, the welding torch and the water cooled unit.
