Haas DS-30

The main parts of the DS-30 CNC universal turret lathe with counterspindle are made of the annealed cast iron. These machines are designed by the finite element method with regard to the maximum robustness, the temperature stability and they provide maximum vibration absorbance during machining. 

The frequency-controlled brushless motor of the master spindle with the vector regulation allows high acceleration and fast braking in order to speed up significantly the tool-change process. The machine drive allows 150-percent overload for 15-minute operation and 200-percent overload for 5-minute operation. The feedback of control system optimizes motor slipping between the stator and the rotor and with the vector control, doubles the torque at low revolutions. 

The machine is equipped with the linear ball bearings in all axes. This type of bearings provides high dynamics of movement at the minimal friction and excellent coordinate-positioning accuracy. The linear ball bearings are equipped with wipers and all the wiring are protected against liquids, machining chips and dirt from the telescopic covers. 

High-quality ball screws are used in the machine. They are fastened at both ends in order to ensure maximum parallelism. The monitoring of temperature on the ball screw nuts on the all axes with the electronic compensation algorithm models and offsets the position of the ball screw to ensure consistent accuracy throughout machining.
